Carlos Salzedo and Georges Barrere have much in common.
Both were students at the Paris Conservatoire in the 1890's, both emigrated
to America soon after graduating and both became dominant figures in the
performance and pedagogy of their respective instruments, the harp and flute.
Their talents are echoed in the music of internationally-acclaimed
harpist and singer Aideen O'Donnell (taught by a pupil of Salzedo's) and
flute, recorder and tin whistle virtuoso Kristine Lamb (taught by a pupil
of Barrere's).
Aideen and Kris perform classical music and traditional
music from Ireland for weddings, concerts, corporate events, etc. The
artistry, versatility and musicality of their playing has delighted audiences
and concert-series producers alike.
